Using AI to automatically price your items based on perishable dates. This is a dream come true. Imagine being able to buy good based on the quality of the products, specifically expiration dates. Wasteless just announced their partnership with NX-Food to use their tech to price products in over 34 countries. This is all great and amazing, giving more access to those that need food. I do see two additional benefits to this:
- Charities will now be able to acquire food easier as there is now an additional indexing system in place for all foods produced and stocked. If these charities are given direct access to work with NX-Food to manage the distribution of the food that’s about to perish and donate them to the needy – it will be a dream come true.
- With Wasteless’ system, there’s a potential to work backwards and start reducing food waste. Working with sellers to gauge the amount of food sold vs. stocked, then collaborating data with producers, importers, manufacturers to the transporters and warehouses to definitively ascertain the trend, source of waste and then specifically target the pain points and start reducing waste.
